Whether you’re a curler or a bonspieler, it’s time to get ready for the 30th Annual East Coast Oilfield Technical Society (ECOTS) Curling Bonspiel. Play will again occur across 4 divisions, with each team guaranteed a minimum of 4 games. Space is limited to the first 32 paid entries this year – last year we were sold out, so get your registration and payment in early.

All team members must be ECOTS members and team entries and membership applications or renewals must be received and paid in full prior to the February 17th deadline. Membership forms are available online at www.ecots.ca. A reminder that ECOTS membership runs on a calendar year, and is renewable as of January 1, 2010, Cost of membership: $30 per individual or $50 per family.

Payment can be made by credit card or cheque:

Please note your entry in the bonspiel will only be confirmed after payment is received

Schedule

  • The Bonspiel begins Thursday evening at 7:00 pm, February 25th with the draw and Calcutta Auction.
  • Curling starts Friday morning, and continues until the early evening, followed by live entertainment at Mayflower Curling Club – Friday is always a great party night.
  • Curling continues Saturday with playoff spots at stake. Saturday night a banquet will be held at Mayflower, followed by a dance featuring live entertainment.
  • The event concludes on Sunday with the semi-finals and finals in all divisions. A wine and cheese reception will take place during the final draw, with prize and trophy presentations to follow.
  • Plenty of great draw prizes will be given away during the weekend.
Best Dressed and Most Sportsman-Like Teams

Every year all curlers are given ballots to vote for the two teams they think are the Best
Dressed
and deserving to be recognized as the Most Sportsman-Like. Give some
thought to how you can distinguish your team and win the votes of your fellow curlers!

All inquiries regarding entries can be directed to Reid MacLean, Bonspiel Chairman at 827- 3526 or . You will receive confirmation of your entry in the bonspiel once your entry form and payment have been received. Official team registration will take place at 7 pm on Thursday February 25th at the Calcutta. At least one member of each team must be in attendance to receive the team package and to get your draw time.

ECOTS Event Signage Regulations

All sponsors wishing to display their own sign at an event can do so provided they adhere to the ECOTS guidelines below. Any sign that does not fall within these guidelines will not be permitted. All sponsors are responsible for the cost of their own sign, and must have their sign delivered to the event committee one week prior to the event.
